Tasting notes : Colour : Intensely deep purple. Aroma : Powerful with a touch of vanilla. Primary notes are of pepper and nutmeg. Taste : Evident but smooth tannins assure a promising evolution.
Aging potential : 15 years.
Percentage of alcohol : 12.5%.
Serving : Perfect with game (venison) and other strong red meats, such as boar and deer. This wine is best decanted prior to serving.
Vintage 2000 : Coup de coeur GUIDE HACHETTE 2003. Vintage 2001 : Silver Medal at the concours Général Agricole de Paris 2003.

Name	Bois des Dames.
Terroir	Clay-chalk ; pebbly.
Grape varieties	Carignan, Syrah (Shiraz), Grenache.
Winemaking	Vinification of whole grapes per grape varietal followed by 18 days of racking. Maturation in oak casks for 10 months.
